EXPERIENCE I first qualified in Social Work and Physiotherapy in Germany. I qualified as a Shiatsu practitioner with the European Shiatsu Institute in 1994 and am a registered practitioner and teacher with the Shiatsu Society in the UK.
As a physiotherapist within the NHS, my work has included neurology rehabilitation, chronic pain management and out-patient work.
I now concentrate on my private practice, combining all the skills above. My main interest is to link oriental and western medicine to create a more holistic/energetical model of health care.

SPECIFIC EMPHASIS
I use an integrative approach of oriental medicine with western medicine. I like to empower the client by teaching self-help methods, i.e. appropriate and safe exercise programmes, pain management and stress management for different conditions. Japanese bodywork stimulates deep relaxation and is very beneficial for energising the body and mental clarity. Due to my extensive working experience and variety of approaches this allows me to assess and treat the body in a holistic way for the benefit of the client.
