EXPERIENCE
A long term relationship and the parenting of two, now adult, children. Living most of my life with others in some form of community.
In 1994 I co-founded the Woodhead Community (approx 13 adults and children) in Kinloss, where I have used relationships as my spiritual path. Other significant life experiences are Officer in the Merchant Navy, Montessori School Teacher, working as a self-employed carpenter and a Focaliser of Experience Weeks.
My counselling is also enriched by living in many foreign countries and learning their languages. This full and varied life has helped me to recognise the wonders and the blessings of high quality relationships. Hence, I bring focus and passion when working with clients aspiring to improve theirs.
For ten years I focussed on men’s work which deepened my understanding of men as well as women. The Findhorn Community is a fertile and cutting edge place that combines areas of Spiritual growth, personal development, health, environment, science and much more. I have involved myself in many areas and profited enormously from this richness during the 16 years that I have lived here.

SPECIFIC EMPHASIS
What style? The counselling is speaking based, using the client/counsellor relationship as the medium for change. The first session is for us to get to know each other and assess the client/counsellor fit.
The Benefits? To enrich and to sustain the experience of intimacy with others and the peace with self that improved relationships bring is without substitute.
The benefits are achievable –and as with most things in life ‘What you put in is what you get out’.
“Humans need relationships like they need food and drink.”
John Bowlby, pioneer of Attachment Theory
